Do you feel like the government is in practice of population control with the high price of gas?

population control would be trying to limit the growth of the population.

anyway the gov doesnt control the gas prices... OPEC doesDo you feel like the government is in practice of population control with the high price of gas?
I think the government is in a bind and unable to show the backbone it wants to the oil companies, among other corporate entities.

What we need is someone not afraid to stick their neck out. Whether he was right or wrong, Bush did this, sticking to his guns despite opposition. At the very least for this he should be given kudos for showing this virtue. It is a sign of inner strength.Do you feel like the government is in practice of population control with the high price of gas?
People that f*@k are going to have more time at home to do it :) It won't stop population growth at all... I hate to say it, but the populations that grow the fastest are the poorer ones and making them more poor won't change a thing... and the government knows this!!

The answerer who suggests they are distroying the middleclass has made an evil, albeit believable point... I know it is going to hurt my family a LOT... so much for those fun toys (kayak, digital camera, etc...) that I wanted to buy and summer trips I wanted to take...

Population, unfortunately will not stop growing - and that is going to be a major part in the downfall of the USA and the world... we can not support population growth!!! We are running out of food, fuel, and clean water... just wait until we have ONE bad wheat plaque (it is starting) or one more war that shortens oil supplies or more drought... there will be water wars... But people still f*@k... - nothing wrong with that... ;) BUT without thought and without birth control... very sad...
I think the current administrations track record routinely has gone against the middle class. I think that there is a concerted, orchestrated effort to depress the middle class to make just 2 classes - the elite (the majority of our 'representatives' fall here) and the lower, working class.
honestly speaking, there are ways where ppl can stop the hike of gas, rather than having cars for each individual (assuming everyone in family of 4 having cars of their own), they can travel together, %26amp; they have reasons to travel independently, due to variation of places, time and need, then they can use the general transport, they have reason transport system is not fast %26amp; others, its our attitude which make the situation from bad to worse,

i have a solution and i am close to reach my aim, that's formation of SELF HELP GROUP, PROMOTE SOME ECO-FRIENDLY ENERGY PRODUCTION, SELL TO GOVT, AND MAKE EACH HOME TO HAVE INDEPENDENT POWER SOURCE, THAT'S SOLAR POWER, S I GUESSED U STATE ITS TOO HARD, BUT I HAVE THE GUTS TO SAY GIVE A TRY, BCOS FOR GOODS THINGS TO HAPPEN ITS NEVER TOO LATE
IDK. Im not very smart at these things. But i think the government should just forget about gas prices.. People dont like the flipping high prices.. I dont either.. It is just pracically a waste of money.. ULESS THAT MONEY GOES TO CHARITY.. I wont care about what the governement thinks about gas..... Unless they lower the prices...
Yes. With the rise in gas prices, every thing else goes up, putting the squeeze on the poorest segment of the population. Affordable food and shelter is getting very hard for them to find.
no, not a matter of population control.
Like most families now stuck with 2 babies per family?
population control is a good thing
Unless gasoline has a direct role in the human insemination process, no.
no i think they are trying to destroy the middle class, so they can make us all slaves...
No, but isn't it a f*cking good idea!
