Should the government do something to control the rising price of gas?

The best thing to do is not meddle. If price gets high enough, people will be forced to conserve. Prices are usually over $4 per gallon in Europe and over $3 per gallon for most of Latin America. Perhaps prices would be more stable if North America were to stop wasting the world's fuel supply.Should the government do something to control the rising price of gas?
They can and they should. It is getting to the point that it would be cheaper for me to be a stay at home mom and let my husband be the only income than for me to continue working and providing our health insurance!Should the government do something to control the rising price of gas?
They should take some of the money uncle Sam just recieved from the citizens and donate it to changing american vehicles to alcohol. Not just new ones market transfer kits for older cars too.
I think so... at least release the reserve... the oil market is CLEARLY unstable and the profits are MUCH higher than they should be if the market was working correcty...

As for further governmental controls, like price caps... I tend to hope that releasing some of the reserves will help the problem...
They can and yes they should. But, will they? Of course not.
yes they should but they are to stupid and too greedy to do any thing about it.
They tried it in the 70's, can you say gas lines. Price controls don't work all they do is make a bad situation worse. Whether we like it or not supply and demand is the best way to go.
they own the oil campanies ofcourse they wanna make more money
