From the builders side of things, he uses mostly subcontractors from the various trades so they each make a little money and the builder can expect to make 10 to 20 percent. Actually 10 is good these days. So it doesn't sound like the builder has as much control as the restaurateur.B) Would you expect builders and restaurateurs to have the same degree of control over price? Explain.?
I have no idea about construction but I do know restaurants.





When deciding the price of a menu item you first have to determine the cost. If it is a food item you have to figure how much you spent on each ingredient, if it is something you buy premade then your cost is simple.





Generally the price should be 3-4 the cost of the item.





So a restauranteur has complete control over his prices but if he wants to make money he must cost out his products and price accordingly.
